‘You can’t reach your goals without teamwork and what a team to be a part of!’
Shaila has recently joined our customs team as we continue to grow – and she is loving every minute of being part of the GTS UK family so far.
Originally from Bangladesh, Shaila moved to Hull two years ago to study her masters at the city’s university, following on from her undergraduate degree in Economics in Dhaka.
Following graduation, her attention turned to developing her career and she saw Hull and our business as the perfect opportunity to do just that.
“I love working in Hull because it’s not a massive city yet it’s a great place to get around and explore,” Shaila says.
“I’ve always dreamed of working in green logistics so it was a real ‘wow’ moment when this role came up. I’m passionate about green industries as we need to do everything we can to protect our planet, while I love opening up doors for businesses to thrive.”
She has only been part of our team for a month but says it feels like it has been much longer.
“It’s a very warm and welcoming environment. GTS feels a level above thanks to the culture Tony has created and I love being a part of it.”
Shaila’s long-term goal is to become a global trade consultant and feels her targets align perfectly with the progress we are making.
