Continuing to break boundaries in 2023

With 2022 now in the rear-view mirror, it is all systems go at GTS UK to make 2023 even better.

But it won’t be easy. We are just three weeks into the new year and uncertainty in the market persists. Companies like ours face many challenges in the shape of rising energy costs, the ongoing issues around Brexit and our changing climate, to name a few.

For all of these hurdles, GTS is perhaps better placed than its competitors to overcome potential barriers.

Doubling down on green

First and foremost, our commitment to green transport solutions is standing us apart and will continue to do so in 2023. Our Intermodal service ensures fewer miles being done by trucks and, therefore, less carbon dioxide being pumped into the atmosphere.

This year will see us launch new rail services across Europe, some of which are already booked, while we continue to utilise our fleet trucks which are all rated as having low EURO 6 engine emissions.

Supporting our team to grow

We have a culture of continuous improvement and our team will continue to feel this over the next 12 months. Without colleagues feeling fulfilled in their roles, productivity and retention can decline – but we know that, with our team, we are destined for success.

We are looking forward to collectively improving yet further and promoting a healthy balance between work and the rest of their lives. It is one of the key factors that makes GTS an employer where people want to work.

And that’s not all…

Our team also has a number of other goals lined up for the year ahead, including:

  • Build on our quality ISO programmes to provide even better services

  • Continue to grow our premium Customs Agency business

  • Further build on our branding plan to maximise awareness of the GTS name

  • Implement new SCM software

  • Continue to strengthen relationships with our valued customers
